There is minimal analytics on the site
There’s no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no Hotjar, no session recording, no advertising network, no cross-site tracking of any kind. Nothing on this site is watching what you read or building a profile of you.
What is collected
- Your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter. Given voluntarily, used to send the newsletter, and nothing else. Never sold, never rented, never shared with a third party for their own marketing. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe and it works immediately.
- Whatever you put in a message to us. Used to answer it. Not added to the mailing list.
- Standard server logs. The web host records IP address, browser, and pages requested, as essentially every web server does. Used for security and to keep the site up.
Third parties that see something
- The web host stores the site and its logs.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Because the fonts load from Google’s servers, Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects the newsletter form from bots. It processes data about your interaction with the form under Google’s privacy policy.
- The newsletter provider stores the subscriber list.
- Affiliate partners, if you click an affiliate link, will see that you arrived from this site. They do not receive your name or email from us and we do not have them unless you gave them to us. See the affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU or EEA, you have the right to access the data held about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. In practice, for almost everyone, the only data held is an email address on a mailing list, and unsubscribing removes it.

Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top. If the site ever adds analytics or advertising, this page will say so before it happens.
